Warren and Mahoney (WAM) has announced the appointment of Katherine Skipper to Managing Principal.
A Registered Architect and former Wellington Studio Principal, Skipper will take on the operational leadership of the practice, working closely with Managing Director, John Coop.
This newly created role focusses on the management of resources, people, and systems.
Together, Skipper and Coop will uphold WAMs commitment to creative leadership and technical excellence.
With Andrew Tu’inukuafe continuing as Chair and Blair Johnston as Practice Head of Design, the 100% employee-owned and led practice continues to maintain strong leadership continuity.
Tu’inukuafe highlights the firm’s foundation in partnership and how the latest appointments reflect the former.

Skipper notes that this new role is a privilege and responsibility.

Now moving into the role of Managing Principal, this focus is simply amplified to ensure as a practice, we continue to deliver on the needs of our clients and collaborators into the future,” she says.
“As the firm approaches its 70th year and fifth generation of leadership, I take great pride in what we have been able to achieve for our clients and the communities we serve. The responsibility to continue this proud tradition is something I look forward to putting into action.”
